Thinking about that Summer holiday?
After the shockingly bad weather we had in the UK yesterday (so bad the rain actually came IN the closed windows – will be calling the builder about that today!!) it’s time to start thinking about the summer escape and maybe a nice warm beach.
If you are not sure about our online 21 day programme then have a look at this video where I explain a little bit more about what it involves.
Here is what some previous participants said ....
"Really pleased that I have lost 11 pounds. 4 cm from tummy which is a real bonus! Feel full of energy and am now going to keep up the healthy choices. Think I may join the plan for May as a final effort to drop another 3 lbs as would love to lose a stone by the summer. Then I can go and buy a new summer wardrobe!" Mum of 2, Vanessa, France
"Scale reports I am down 12 pounds. Woohoo! I have a couple of pairs of pants ("trousers") that are now larger than before. Time to go shopping in my closet! Going to do this again." Mum of 2, Cheryl, Arizona
"I have lost 4cm from my bust,5cm from my waist & 1cm from my hips. I can fit into clothes that I haven't worn for a few years and have noticed a huge difference in my flexibility and fitness this month. So overall feeling very positive. " Mum of 3, Louise, Somerset
"The main difference has been in my general well-being, which has been amazing. I feel fitter, more energetic - hence I am happier and more confident (in fact my husband commented on how much happier I have been since doing the plan) - thank you Zita." Mum of 2, Liz, Hertfordshire

Government tells us to eat less
So today Obese people are being told to eat less, mmm it’s not that simple for a lot of people.
Emma Britton on BBC Radio Somerset was asking people to say what they thought about this so ofcourse I called in and you can hear what I said here (I’m on just after 48 minutes into the show)

Bath Life Awards 2011
We were very happy to be shortlisted in the final 4 of the Healthy & Beauty category at the Bath Life Awards which took place last week at the beautiful Assembly Rooms in Bath. Part of the process once we had been nominated by all our “‘fans”, was for me to be interviewed to explain a little more about what we do and why Bath Bootcamp should win! This video was shown, along with photos from camp, to the judges and also at the awards event.
Once dinner was over it was time to get down to the award presentations and we were the 9th category so had to wait to find out… This category was very close and we were just pipped to the post so the judges gave us “Highly Commended – for their inspirational approach and techniques- Bath Bootcamp“, however the winner this time was Melanie Giles Hairdressing.
Thank you to everyone who voted for us and it was a nice chance to get out of our muddy trainers!
ps we will be back next year to win!
Turn your spare room into something stylish
It’s true that most of us dump things in our spare room, infact we need to clear ours out soon as family coming to stay for Christmas!. Kate Hilpern has written a great piece in The Independent about how we can turn our spare rooms into a variety of stylish spaces such as home office or home gym. The Ztrainer is perfect for a home gym as it not only folds away to the size of a washbag, when it is up the black and stainless steel design looks great AND you can do hundreds of exercises with the suspension straps rather than just a handful of exercises that you can do with most home gym equipment. Social support is vital
Kim came to Bath Bootcamp @ Marshfield not knowing anyone and 8 weeks later she has made friends who are going to get together to workout together over the summer holidays when there are no classes.
She is a busy GP who has made bootcamp an important part of her week and life and is loving exercising outdoors (even when it’s wet). Previously she would have thought twice about driving straight home after a busy day rather than turning off towards the gym, but now she has her new buddies in class she won’t let them down. Trimmer, fitter and feeling more energetic are just some of the benefits she has noticed and she even bought a Ztrainer to use in between sessions (infact her rugby playing son loved the Ztrainer too!).
Here is a video of what she says (after a tough class last night)…
Time for change
Happy New Year everyone – it’s time to take action!
NO MORE EXCUSES – now that the party season is over you could achieve AMAZING things over the next 12 months and more specifically the next month. 28 days at the January bootcamp could see you several pounds lighter with increased energy and a nicely toned body OR you could just do what you’ve always done and get what you always got – right?

SET YOURSELF SOME GOALS and draw up an action plan that will guide you to achieve these goals. Get it down on paper and read it every morning so that you take positive actions and move daily in the right direction. Before you write these goals you should ask yourself these 3 questions about your previous attempts at improving your health and wellbeing.
What worked well?
What did I learn?
What will I do next time?
Give it a go today and see how much you could improve over the upcoming months. I’d love to hear what some of your goals are too
There is still time to book your place for January at www.bathbootcamp.co.uk
A whole new wardrobe
Check out the photo to see what happens when you lose 3 stone and most of your clothes become TOO BIG!
Steve has lost over 11inches on his waist in less than 3 months so you can see why he needs a new wardrobe. While many of us are trying to squeeze INTO our clothes, he has the opposite problem – poor thing eh!!!
Well done Steve – we are all very impressed
Bootcamp has a van!
Have you spotted the new bootcamp van driving around yet?

Here’s a photo of it all shiny and clean. The problem with black is that it’s very hard to keep clean so as part of your warm up you might have to help me wash it every week!!!
June Bootcamper of the month…
Congratulations to Jo for receiving BOM and a lovely white baseball hat so she can exercise outdoors in the sun on holiday. Despite her challenge of difficult knees she never gave up on those hills and made it through her second 4 week camp. When asked how she would describe Bath Bootcamp to someone new she said “EVIL” but I don’t think she really meant it!
Special mention also goes to Juliette who survived our first REALLY WET 9.45am bootcamp in 6 months – she may have got soaked, but she got a one to one session as everyone else was “otherwise engaged” that morning – well done and she said that after a nice hot shower she felt FANTASTIC!
Great to see so many new faces at the 6.30am camp this month which is full, and looking forward to enjoying the nice weather at the August camp which starts on 10 August.
