It’s not all about the scales
No doubt many of you have started your post Christmas clean up and cut out the alcohol and sweet things that abound over the festive season. It’s likely that you have already shed a few pounds on the scales as you lose water that is stored with carbohydrate in the body. Aiming for inch loss is the best goal as your body drops fat and builds lean tissue which is what we want as that is what is metabolically active and burns calories all day.
Here is a simple way to remember that 5lbs on the scale can look very different on the body
ITV’s BIGGEST LOSER programme with Davina McCall has started a new series this month with the main emphasis on weight rather than inch loss because contestants are so overweight. The new Female Coach is the talented Charlotte Ord who owns her own gym in Surrey and is currently training the England Lacrosse Team. Here is a video of Charlotte using the Ztrainer, my Suspension Training Product back in 2010.
Our next bootcamp starts on Monday 9th and we also start a new online 21 day shape up plan that involves detailed nutrition and exercise support over the 3 weeks. This is available at just £40 for the launch and you can find out more here
Good luck losing those “pounds”

Merry Christmas and thank you
It looks like today most people are winding down from work and normal life (if not already) and beginning the Christmas celebrations/mayhem – whichever you see it as.
Thanks for all your support over the last 12 months and well done for all your hard work – especially on those dark, wet, muddy occasions that you may have rather been elsewhere. We are very proud of what you have achieved in terms of improved health, wellbeing, fitness and inch loss and we can’t wait to bring you more next year.
Sarah, Kate and I would just like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and ofcourse a healthy New Year. Eat, drink and be merry but don’t forget to do some exercise inbetween.
We are running a one off TURKEY TWIZZLER bootcamp on Tue 27th Dec for anyone who can’t wait until January 9th when our next 4 week camp starts. It will be a 75 min class at 10am in Bath for just £10 in advance – everyone welcome but spaces are limited due to equipment (such as boxing gloves) so please book here if you would like to come – click payment link here

Pre-easter weight loss challenge
Congratulations to everyone at Bath Bootcamp who took part in our weight loss competition over the 6 weeks and the first prize went to Louise who lost an amazing 17lbs over Lent. Gill came second with 12lbs and Amanda with 10lbs. Collectively the group lost over 4 stone which is fantastic.
Everyone is felling better for it and their clothes are looking much looser. Louise filled in her food diary religiously over the 6 weeks to give her FOCUS, and as well as coming to our fat burning bootcamp classes 3 times a week she also swam and walked on the other days to stay ACTIVE.
Start writing down what you eat over the next 7 days and see what a difference it makes. Research shows that people who don’t keep a food and drink log are likely to consume 25% more calories than those who do. The odd this and that can slip in so start to get that focus back.
You can do it in a book, online with various programmes or use this simple sheet we use Food diary . I know that a big part of our competition entrants success was due to writing it down, as well as the short term focus they had (plus ofcourse they wanted to win a free month at bootcamp!).
Go do it now and let me know if it made a difference.
Great review from The Bath Magazine
Last month we had someone from The Bath Magazine join our evening classes and these are a few of the things she said in her review.
“It was an absolutely fantastic way to get fit, burn fat and tone up”
“Each session way totally different and fun, actually!”
“Zita gave so much support and guidance that it was just like having a personal trainer”
“The camaraderie, dedication and encouragement of my fellow bootcampers was also a great motivation”
“The best thing about the bootcamp, however, was exercising outside – it’s great!”
“At the end of the month, I definitely saw results and I will certainly be signing up again next month”
The full article can be found on page 66 of the JUNE issue of The Bath Magazine.
There is also a mention of the Ztrainer on the same page.
Bath Half Marathon
Well done to Rachael, Emma and Ruth who all did the Bath 1/2 today. The sun shone but the cold wind was bracing. As Rachael , our experienced running bootcamper, crossed the line proudly wearing her BATH BOOTCAMP t shirt, the announcer shouted “well done Bath Bootcamp!” .
A great morning of goal achievement as well as PR! Rachael has been running marathons, 10ks and half marathons for several years now and since starting at bootcamp 12 months ago she has noticed how her running has improved. She is much quicker at the start and feels much stronger throughout the races.
Perhaps you are a runner who thinks that running is the only way to keep fit then think again. A full body programme that focuses on strength, power, speed, core strength, flexibility and endurance will do far more for your races than just pounding away mile after mile every week.
Time for change
Happy New Year everyone – it’s time to take action!
NO MORE EXCUSES – now that the party season is over you could achieve AMAZING things over the next 12 months and more specifically the next month. 28 days at the January bootcamp could see you several pounds lighter with increased energy and a nicely toned body OR you could just do what you’ve always done and get what you always got – right?

SET YOURSELF SOME GOALS and draw up an action plan that will guide you to achieve these goals. Get it down on paper and read it every morning so that you take positive actions and move daily in the right direction. Before you write these goals you should ask yourself these 3 questions about your previous attempts at improving your health and wellbeing.
What worked well?
What did I learn?
What will I do next time?
Give it a go today and see how much you could improve over the upcoming months. I’d love to hear what some of your goals are too
There is still time to book your place for January at www.bathbootcamp.co.uk
Nominated for an award!
Exciting news – Bath Bootcamp has been nominated for a Bath Life Magazine award!
They came to our ladies only class today and filmed us boxing, sprinting, mountain climbing, squating and lunging for half an hour. The footage will be cut into just a 10 second piece that will be shown at the award ceremony on 17th September.
Time for some magic?
It’s day 1 of a new bootcamp for some of you so what better time than now to consider a specific goal setting programme.
Dax Moy has just released a programme I would definitely recommend you take a look at, especially as he is offering a moneyback guarantee. Here is his message below:
I’ve just finished a MAJOR re-write of the already very successful MAGIC Hundred Goal Achievement Program and I highly recommend you get it right away at:
http://www.themagichundred.com/click.htm

It’s more than a little different than the usual goal setting and
success stuff that you may have read before but I promise you
(even if it sounds immodest) it’s really good and it’s
(in my opinion) WAY UNDERPRICED… until tomorrow at midnight when
the price goes up forever.
The program is good. Real good, which is why I haven’t padded it
out with a thousand bonuses to make it seem more value for money
than it really is.
You’ll get the 135 page manual, the audios, the worksheets, access
to my goal-getting community and also the hundred days of
‘feet to the fire’ email messages I put together to keep you on
track
And yes. There IS a guarantee.
It’s a no hassle, unconditional guarantee that puts all the risk
on me.
You’ve got 60 days to download it, read it, listen to all the
materials and put what I’m telling you into action. If you don’t
like it for ANY, even just the colour of the fonts I use, then
you can ask for a refund before day 60 and its yours.
You could even abuse the guarantee by downloading it and asking
for a refund TODAY and the guarantee with still be honoured. That’s
what I mean by unconditional.
Anyway, I totally vouch for this. I know that if you’re looking to
achieve better health, greater wealth and a bunch more happiness in
your life than you have right now, then this is for you.
All YOU have to do is check it out and decide for yourself…
http://www.themagichundred.com/click.htm
I’ll be back! : )
Truth, joy and love
Dax Moy
P.S. The price will rise at midnight tomorrow.
Even if you don’t want the program, you should check out
what it’s all about over at:
http://www.themagichundred.com/click.htm
I have ordered my copy so let’s see what I achieve!

Have you seen the film The Secret?
If you have you’ll know that it practically became the goal-achievement ‘bible’ overnight due to it’s very simple, yet very powerful message about how you can be, do and have practically anything in life that you want as long as you do one or two key things.
They are:
1. Think about what you want on a regular basis
2. Think about it positively
That was it really. That was the ‘secret’ of The Secret!
Now, I’m not knocking this at all, far from it. First off, most people (myself included) can be really unfocused and unclear about what they want and spending some time focusing can be really beneficial, right? And thinking positive, well, that’s just obvious isn’t it?
After all, going through life with a dark cloud over your head is not really going to help you feel good about even STARTING your goals, let alone achieving them is it?
So I’ve no real problems with the advice that The Secret shares, it makes sense and, truth be told, thousands of people have already gone on to achieve great things as a result of following this simple advice, but again, there are a lot of people who couldn’t seem to make it work for them and are now dismissive of the who goal achievement ‘thing’.
Maybe you’re one of them? I certainly used to be.
I tried thinking positive and holding my goals in my thoughts but still the same old hassles that were always in my life before were still there so I did what most people would do. I gave up the whole goal-setting thing as a waste of time. That is until I came across (yet another) goal achievement program that was saying some things that were very different to what I’d been hearing from the thoughts become things crowd.
In fact, this program said that thoughts DON’T become things, but rather, they could become things, but not necessarily. It jokingly explained that if thoughts really did automatically become things then most teenage boys would materialise pretty young girls into their bedrooms. After all, this is what’s on their minds most of the time, right? : )
Sounds funny, I know, but it struck a chord. After all, if thinking clearly of something that’s important to you, holding it in your mind and thinking about it a lot works to bring goals to life, then it should work, right?
And as to thinking positive… I’d always been told that thinking positive was a critical step to making your goals come to life, but again in this program I was told that this simply wasn’t true. After all, if being positive made your goals come to life you should be able to sit in the middle of a busy road, smile and say ‘I won’t get hit, I won’t get hit, I won’t get hit” and sure enough, all the trucks will completely miss you. Not a strategy that I think I’d like to try : )
It all makes sense doesn’t it? The idea that you can’t just put on a happy face, think about your goals and have them come to life? I think so anyway : )
So what’s the real ‘secret’ to goal achievement? Well, I guess it’s simply that there isn’t one. Not as in one hidden thing that once exposed will bring your goals to life. It’s more a case of having a strategy that is proven to work rather than relying on hope or wishful thinking. What’s the strategy?
It’s coming… I promise! In fact, I’ve persuaded Dax Moy, author of The MAGIC Hundred to spill the beans right here on my blog over the next week so DEFINITELY stay tuned.
Speak soon!
